In recent years, the excessive use of fossil fuels and the impact of extreme climate change have posed serious challenges to human sustainable development. Therefore, the international community has reached a key consensus on moving towards carbon neutrality. Energy chemistry, as an emerging interdisciplinary field, applies modern chemical theories and methods to study the acquisition, conversion, storage, transportation, and new implementation pathways of energy. It will provide the necessary scientific and technological support for achieving carbon neutrality and may trigger a new round of global energy technology innovation. Deepening the understanding of energy chemistry is the focus of this International Conference on Energy Chemistry (ICEC2025).
