On June 15, 2024, the 34th Annual Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society was grandly opened at the Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The theme of this year's conference is "Towards Higher Levels of Chemical Research", with 70 academic branches and 14 specialized forums established to exchange 9371 papers. During the annual conference, a total of 3 special invited presentations were arranged, 258 themed presentations were given by the branch, 1700 invited presentations were given by the branch, 2291 oral presentations were given by the branch, 481 pop-up presentations were given, and 3356 wall posters were displayed.
